WHAT TO WEAR: Girl's Night Out

As we transition into fall, dark colors begin making their annual appearances. For some, they never leave! They’re basically a staple in every fashion lover’s wardrobe. Dark colors are slimming and chic—perhaps two of my favorite things. One look at this Fashionista’s outfit and one word comes across my mind: confidence. You can see it in her smile and the way she presents herself. If there’s one thing we should all aspire to be, it’s to be confident in our bodies and ourselves.

All dolled up for a girl’s night out, this Fashionista is sporting a long olive green sheath dress. This dress is a perfect choice for many occasions. You could wear it to a fancy dinner or out dancing with your friends. One of the most important things to consider when choosing a “night out” ensemble is comfort. This Fashionista’s sheath dress gives her the best of both worlds—it is made out of a stretchy material so she will be comfortable all night, yet it is completely flattering and oh-so-chic.

I am in love with this beauty’s shoes! To add some frill to her frock, she is wearing a pair of woven brown heels. Her feet will be thanking her—she is choosing to sport a pair of wedges around Manhattan. This is the best choice (no joke!). When you want to look fabulous for a night out but know you’ll be on your feet most of the time, it’s always best to wear wedges rather than stilettos. Since wedges often have platforms that offer more surface area, they put less stress on the ball of your foot and reduce the incline.

Gold and dark green—one of the most beautiful color combos in the book—look amazing on this Fashionista. When wearing earthy tones, it’s important to stick to neutral accessories. Her bright gold jewelry truly complements her dark green dress. Her black cross-body bag has gold accents as well, making it the perfect addition to this outfit. Due to its small size, it’s perfect for carrying around all night and it won’t kill your shoulder!

One Simple Change: Though this outfit is great for a girl’s night out, it’s also a perfect weekend wear look! To make it a little more casual, tie a dark flannel around your waist. This creates a fun, edgy look.
