WHAT TO WEAR: Game Day Style Guide

Hello babes! Words cannot describe how excited I am that football season is back! There is something so special about being back in a college town with your closest friends. I don’t know about you…but Saturdays get us through the week here at Oklahoma State, and of course we get another reason to get dressed up and show off our game day style.

My back-to-school shopping included “shopping for game day 101.” I went to Planet Blue and found the most perfect Blue Life cabana long bell sleeve top that can be worn during summer nights with shorts or transformed into a fall outfit when paired with jeans. My jeans are also from Planet Blue and were a total unplanned buy. I was wearing them to try on with other tops and honestly couldn’t take them off when leaving the store. They are the perfect high-waisted pair of jeans and still have the distressed look we all love.

Some people don’t realize this, but shoes make or break an outfit. You can have a perfect outfit, but when paired with the wrong shoes, everything can go downhill from there. These fun Free People clogs are a step up from the usual game day boots, but not over the top (and they are so comfortable).

My bag is a new favorite because every girl needs a fringe bag, and of course the second I saw it at Urban Outfitters, my first question was…does it come in black? Bucket bags are my new thing because they hold a lot more while still being small, which makes it the ultimate game day bag. An outfit is never complete without the perfect accessories, and due to the deep cut in my top, I had a lot of room to work with. The western look is in this fall, and I am so excited about it. To tie in the orange and black OSU theme, I added a black bolo tie to my outfit, which was the perfect finish. I got this specific one a few months back at Madewell, but I love these Free People and Revolve bolo necklaces that are new for fall—check them out!

College game days are a chance for you to have fun with an outfit and wear what no one else is wearing. Dress outside of the box, and make trends at your school, because college is the perfect place to start. Tailgate on lovies!
