WHAT TO WEAR: Florida Fall

I’m convinced that actually having fall in Florida is a myth. As much as we Floridians love our sunshine and beach days well into November, it can sometimes be difficult to get into the fall spirit while it is still 95 degrees outside. Luckily for us though, it is still possible to dress for the season without just sucking it up and throwing on a sweater in this unfortunately warm weather.

The best way to work around Florida’s unbearable heat while still looking fall chic is to break out the booties and the earth tones while still wearing lightweight materials and styles. In this particular look, layering a lighter outwear piece over a simple crop top and olive-colored shorts still maintains a fall look without sacrificing any comfort in the heat. I love the lace detailing on the back of the top and the slight edge that the necklace and detailing on the boots give. In my opinion, it is the perfect balance between dainty and feminine and little bit badass while being the perfect compromise for a warm November.

In such a versatile and lightweight look, you can still enjoy all of the wonderful things about fall without worrying about looking too summery because you’re missing out on wearing heavy knits and knee-high boots. Whether your plans include a stroll through the pumpkin patch (because let’s be real, is it really fall without a trip to a pumpkin patch?) or simply a stroll to class, you’ll look your fall best!
