WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

It’s that awkward time of year again when the seasons start changing from fall to winter, but that shouldn’t stop us from looking absolutely adorable in cozy sweaters and boots! Here in Corvallis, Oregon, all students are praying for snow and a chance to escape the brutal finals at the end of the semester, but winter break is right around the corner, and what are you going to be wearing back home?  I can help you with that.

Being a part of CollegeFashionista’s brand partnership with Old Navy has gotten me really into their sweaters and boyfriend jeans.  This Fashionista is wearing their Hi-Lo V-neck sweater in wine purple, which just so happens to be one of my favorite shades for this time of year.  Old Navy’s sweaters are so comfortable and come in virtually any style to go with pretty much any look.  She is also wearing Old Navy boyfriend jeans, which complement the cozy, slouchy, high-fashion look. This Fashionista pairs her look with a classic pair of combat boots from Steve Madden.

This look is perfect for heading to those last final classes before break and also meeting up with friends back home. No matter where you are, these basics will help you get through that final stretch and to freedom (i.e. full of nights by the fireplace and Netflix for days), so good luck to all those finishing the semester and happy holidays!

One Simple Change: Need to go meet with your professor after class? Or just want to dress to impress? To tone down the high-fashion and tune up the class, try switching the light wash boyfriend jeans with a pair of clean black or dark wash jeans to have a more structured and sophisticated look.
