WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

Things are starting to become consistently chilly here in upstate New York. There is no more of that freezing temperature in the morning, blazing hot by the afternoon nonsense! So because of that, it is finally time for layering our fall essentials we have been so desperately excited to wear—whether it’s some riding boots with a cozy cable knit sweater or simply some jeans, a warm scarf and a military jacket. If you’re anything like me, you’ve counted down the days to be able to wear chunky, plaid scarves, corduroy pants and some button-down shirts. See how this Fashionista stands out on campus with a super fun poncho sweater.

Ponchos are definitely making a comeback this autumn season, especially on our campus. This Aztec printed poncho is ideal for those chilly days when, honestly, we just want to go to class in our blankets and slippers. This option is much more chic, especially with these amazing heeled boots. The design is still very neutral so you can wear endless pant options along with it. Some simple details such as the bangles and delicate bracelets she wears are all you need for accessories in a look like this.

One Simple Change: Going out with the girls after a long day of classes? Switch up your appearance with a bold lipstick option to dress up the final look. Trade out the heeled boots for some simple, classic black heels. Bring along a simple black clutch to carry your lipstick for touch ups!
