WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

Well, Fashionistas/os, it’s that time of year again! For most people, fall means bonfires, flannels and the occasional pumpkin spice latte. But for college students, it usually means midterms, homework and trying to save your social life before it’s too late.

Here at High Point University, we like to dress to impress. Most days you will see the majority of students dressed in the typical preppy fall essentials. For girls, it is either leggings and a sweater or a long sleeved dress and scarf. For guys, it is khakis, a button-down shirt and Sperry Top-Siders or boots. I have noticed though that the closer it gets to midterms the more I see students wearing sweatpants, T-shirts and Nikes. They tend to worry less about fashion and more about the naps they can take between tests.

This Fashionisto refuses to let the midterm blues ruin his style. Wearing a fall-inspired button-down shirt with classic straight leg khakis and Cole Haan Drivers, he is ready to take on the last few days of school before going on a much needed break. For the times that this Fashionisto does get to spend outside, he has the perfect pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses to complete his look.

Living in North Carolina means being prepared for hourly weather changes. This is the perfect outfit because it is warm enough for those crisp fall mornings and comfortable to wear all day long. When the whole campus seems to be wearing the same thing, it is nice to see a student that can balance the stress of studies and the importance of style.

One Simple Change: When you are finally done with classes for the day, take this look into the night by tucking in the shirt and adding a tobacco colored belt to give it an effortless night time feel.
