Fall is right around the corner which means its that awkward time of the year where some people are in sandals while others are already breaking out the parkas and pumpkin spice lattes. Figuring out how to dress appropriately for chilly mornings and sweltering afternoons is no easy task. This Fashionista managed to find that happy medium in an boho-grunge look which she rocked so effortlessly.
I met this Fashionista on move-in day at good ole Martin Hall about a year ago. She is a solid three inches (ok maybe six inches, but who’s counting?) taller than me. Yes, she is just as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside and yes, she could easily win America’s Next Top Model. Her outfit caught my eye today because she perfectly combined elements of fall and summer to keep cool in this awkward time of year.
This Fashionista wore several summer trends such as a flowy crop top from Urban Outfitters, lace bralette and a dainty body chain. She combined these summer staples with recurring fall trends such as boyfriend jeans from Topshop and combat boots from DSW. She tied the look together with a Goodwill flannel knotted at her waist and a classic pair of club master Ray-Ban sunglasses.
One Simple Change: You can take this look from day to night very easily. Just swap the boyfriend jeans and combat boots out for a pair of skinny jeans and heels and you have yourself an outfit perfect for any occasion!
