WHAT TO WEAR: Day to Night

Between school, work, extracurriculars, and a social life, a Fashionista is usually on the go. With no time to stop home in between plans, a versatile outfit is vital. Dark or black jeans are the way to go as they seem casual for daywear, and with a cute tank or crop they become perfectly stylish for the nightlife scene. This Fashionista was strutting through Minneapolis in black Paige distressed dark-wash denim, a white button up blouse from Lovestitch and a Vera Wang fur vest. For this windy summer day the vest doubles as an eye-catching piece and a source for warmth. It is a little more on the spendy side, but it can be used for three seasons! Summer, fall and winter, which gives you a bang for your buck as a college kid.

As for the accessories, dark earth tones were chosen to go with the simplistic, neutral feel. An oversized fedora with some brown and black heels, completes the look! They are simple yet sophisticated. Underneath her white blouse she is wearing a black bandeau. This is an excellent lightweight accessory. The bandeau shows contrast against the white button up and most importantly will help with the needed wardrobe change later on in the day.

One Simple Change: The clock has finally made its way to 5:00 p.m. and you’re ready to head out with friends? Swap the vest and button up for a braided T-back tank or a knit trapeze tank. Either of these will be lightweight, and show off the detail in the bandeau. Grab your clutch, and stay simply stylish throughout your social summer.
