WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

September 25th, 2015 at 2:00am

The fall season usually greets us with school, work, oversized sweaters, pumpkin spice-anything and concerts. Every fall, numerous bands set out on tour throughout the country, promoting their new albums, playing hit songs and jamming and, of course, meeting up with their dedicated fans. Unlike summer concerts which tend to feel like you’re stuck in a sauna for three hours screaming your favorite lyrics non-stop, fall concerts tend to be more laid-back, relaxed, with slight fall breezes that bring the word cozy to mind. Although standing in the pit of any concert in such close proximity with at least one hundred other people is definitely going to ensure copious amount of sweat, annoyance and some down-right funky smells, one can always choose to look good while singing and dancing along to their favorite songs.

The look on this Fashionisto is just a perfect mix of flair, comfort and sophistication. His color block oxford T-shirt from Forever 21 is simple—great for a rock concert or a late-night hang out with friends; similarly, a red (or blue) flannel long sleeve button-down would work just as well, keeping the wearer comfortable and looking stylish. The maroon Levi Brand Jeans on this Fashionisto offset the color-blocked shirt, adding a nice and subtle pop of color to the outfit, but nothing too overbearing. Accessorizing this look is rather simple—adding a thin, black leather bracelet or a minimalistic watch is easy and it gives off a cool edge to the ensemble! These wooden-colored boots finish off this polished outfit, contributing a nice rustic antiquity to the look that lets the Fashionisto jam out in style and comfort!

One Simple Change: The concert just finished and it’s 12 a.m. You have an internship interview really early in the morning and you’re looking for a way to make the outfit more formal. Not a problem! Borrow a casual, black blazer, like this one from Zara, to structure the look and add an aura of sophistication that has S-U-C-C-E-S-S written all over it!
