WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

March 3rd, 2015 at 2:00am

Brrr, it has been nothing but cold around here in Maryland and the snow storms are not helping. As we duke out the last few weeks of winter, staying warm is essential for us. The root of any wardrobe that is going to function in low temperatures starts with the right base of layers and gloves, because your hands matter as well.

This Fashionisto is rocking just the right jacket for a freezing cold day on campus. Going class to class, this Fashionisto opted for a cozier option. The fur lining gives the jacket an extra layer of comfort and warmth while being stylish. This light wash denim is a classic and pretty much goes with anything. Of course, you cannot leave your hands hanging in this type of weather. Protect them from outdoor conditions in these warm gloves. This Fashionisto knows the importance of covering up. My favorite part about this outfit is the electric blue sneakers that really give the outfit a pop of color. The vibrant color brings hope for brighter and warmer days.

The key to dressing in the cold weather is to wear as many layers as you can. It always helps when those layers are thick. Do not forget the essentials like wearings gloves, a hat and a coat. Your body will thank you later when it is time to walk out the door.

One Simple Change: If it’s game day for us fellow Maryland Terps and you’re headed to a tailgate, this outfit could use some more Maryland pride. Ditch the denim jacket for this red bomber jacket and you are all ready to go.
