WHAT TO WEAR: Class

September 16th, 2015 at 2:10am

Wake up and feel the humidity, Fashionistas/os! School is back in session, and that calls for joyful reunions, dining hall cringing, spending all of your hard earned money on textbooks and spicing up your wardrobe. It’s a new year, and that calls for a fresh start!

While Syracuse is famous for its incredibly brutal winters, the first few months back at school can actually prove to be insanely hot and humid. To cope, this Fashionista’s laid-back style radiates nothing but cool and positive vibes. Naturally, it can be stressful to adjust back into the fast-paced, nonstop lifestyle that is college. It’s important to keep it casual! Wearing simple but stylish high-waisted jean shorts, she is able to stay at ease in the heat. Her vintage band tank top adds just the right amount of edge, and she accessorizes with a simple choker.

Although the weather might bring you down, you musn’t forget the perfect pair of shoes to strut to class in! She wears black booties and pairs those with a big black bag to carry all of her books in. Top the outfit off with a funky watch and you’ll be ready to hit the books… or something like that.

One Simple Change: Going out later for dinner and drinks with the girls? Trade the shorts in for dark wash skinny jeans, throw on some gold hoops, put your hair up in a sock bun and you’ll be ready to go! But, as always, don’t forget that final and necessary swipe of your favorite lipstick.

Hello, I’m Audrey! I attend Syracuse University in upstate New York, but was born and raised in the San Francisco, California Bay Area. My first year away from home was a tough one, but I learned so much about myself and I can’t wait to be back on campus in the fall! My style consists of funky statement pieces, an array of neutral colors, a perfect combination of jewelry and always a swipe of colorful lipstick. My favorite stores include ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Top Shop and Free People, but I rely heavily on thrift stores to help finish off an incomplete outfit. You can most likely find me on a hike, in the local coffee shop, online shopping, or eating my way through the Bay Area. Style on!
