WHAT TO WEAR: Class

You want to make a statement to kick off back to school? Living in Syracuse you expect it to be negative degrees starting as early as September, but Mother Nature actually blesses us with nice weather (sometimes). We should be thankful that temperatures are currently at a record high, but instead we can’t help but wish for those winter temps right about now. The dorms here don’t have AC; so this Fashionista has to manage to stay cool and look cool.

As college students, our individual styles are unique; we all want to stand out. There’s no need to wear anything fancy or try too hard. You can just throw on some cool sandals and bold jewels. For an easy go-to, add this Brandy Melville dress to your closet. It’s great to throw on for any occasion. Add a cool bandeau to complete this open back look, and you’re ready to head to class. I know that we all just want to resort to sweats and a comfy shirt, but this outfit calls for minimal effort.

Summer is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean you have to hang up your summer wardrobe forever. Throw on a cardigan to make this outfit transition to fall.

One Simple Change: Just finished your last class of the day and a couple of friends want to go to dinner for a girl’s night out—done. If you’re heading to a restaurant or going to hang in a friend’s room, throw on some black platforms instead of the Jack Rogers for a more edgy look.
