WHAT TO WEAR: Class

No one likes waking up in the morning for that 8:00 a.m. class in the lecture hall across campus, but with some quick tips, looking fashionable before your morning coffee can be a breeze. Trust me when I say that I have come close to giving up on style and walking to class in the ratty T-shirt I slept in the night before. No matter how easy it is to throw on a hoodie and Nike running shorts on your way out the door, do not let your hard-earned style take a hit.

There is such a thing as easy, comfortable clothing that is still worthy of a Fashionista/o. To be more specific, take a look at the Fashionista pictured above. She combines patterns with basics and multiple different fabrics to make this comfortable, yet adorable outfit work. When it comes to comfy cute style, you cannot lose with Brandy Melville. Her pieces combine L.A. ease with Manhattan versatility. By pairing patterned Brandy Melville shorts with a simple, gray Topshop sweater shirt, this Fashionista has accomplished every girl’s dream: cozy chic. To finish off this outfit, pair it with some slip-ons for a laid back look or some simple, trendy sandals for something a bit more put together.

My favorite addition is the go-to accessories. For me, it is my “Carrie”-inspired necklace, a Marc Jacobs ‘I Love You’ piece, and my two Tiffany & Co. bead bracelets in sterling silver and onyx. For the lovely Fashionista above, she rocks a silver puzzle piece necklace and the same Tiffany & Co. bracelet. By having everyday accessories at your disposal, you never have to think about untangling that necklace or finding that missing ring when you are running out the door. It is all about the little things in the wee hours of the morning, and of course, no classroom attire is finished without a durable, yet stylish tote. This Fashionista will have the attention of all her classmates!

One Simple Change: To take this classroom attire to the next level, swap out the shorts for some distressed black skinnies and add some strappy sandals with a pop of color. All eyes will be on you.
