WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Now that classes are in session, it’s time to utilize your wardrobe to the fullest; from cute sundresses to cozy sweaters, the options are unlimited. When getting ready for class, the only thing on my mind is comfort, and there is definitely a way to feel as comfy as you would in pajamas, without sacrificing fashion.

For me, an awesome go-to look for a long day of classes is a comfortable pair of jeans or leggings, and an oversized sweater or knit top with a great pair of boots or sneakers. You feel like you’re in sweats, and it is always easy to accessorize; you look cute even though you’re secretly being a lazy Fashionista. Comfort is the most important aspect to any outfit I wear, so I am constantly shopping for pieces that are stylish yet comfy; one piece that I’m constantly grabbing to wear is this oversized thermal V-neck from Free People; it’s so soft, easy to wear and comes in a bunch of cute colors. I have it in the periwinkle color and it goes with everything.

One of my favorite things on trend right now are sneakers; they’re fashionable and functional and can be worn with so many different things. I think wearing a cute pair of sneakers with a dress can be such a great look; it has a great balance between hard and soft styles. With all the walking college students do on campus, sneakers are a comfy alternative to a pair of ballet flats that so often give you blisters. One of my favorites are the Nike Free Flyknit sneakers. I prefer the 3.0 style, but they have a few different kinds. I love these shoes because they come in a great range of colors, they bend as your foot does and they slip right on without the need to tie the laces or wear socks. They look cute with a lot of outfits, and they’re a really great running shoe as well; I highly recommend these.

Another awesome way to flaunt your style on campus while remaining practical is sporting a unique backpack.  You’ll stand out from the crowd of The North Face and JanSport bags and your outfit will feel complete. Designers like Derek Lam and Louis Vuitton consistently have backpacks in their collections because it’s such a versatile piece and is a nice break from the usual handbag.

So whether you’re in a rush to get to class or have some time to plan an outfit, you never have to sacrifice fashion for comfort; there is always a way to be cute and comfy.

One Simple Change:  To update this outfit if you’re going on a date or out to dinner with some friends, ditch the sneakers and throw on a cute pair of heels. By doing so, you can keep the outfit your already wearing and transition it into the evening; it’s a quick and easy fix for the Fashionista on the run.
