WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Just because you’re going to be sitting in class for six hours a day doesn’t mean that you can’t still look good! We are seeing a lot of camel-colored items as part of the pre-fall 2016 collections, which this Fashionista is totally rocking.

Of course, everyone needs a long sleeved sweater for fall. There is nothing classier than a simple camel sweater. This Fashionista has a long torso, but if you’re like me and have a shorter torso, try looking for a nice fitted cropped sweater to achieve the same look.

I am a true believer in the perfect pair of black skinny pants. Black pants go with everything and just like the little black dress, a pair should be a staple in your closet. My current personal favourite is a high-waisted skinny black pant that hits right at the ankle for minimum alterations.

A must have for fall is of course the wool coat. Something that we’re also seeing a lot of on the pre-fall 2016 runways is the fur collar. The fur collar ads a nice posh look to your outfit and helps to keep your face and neck warm when it starts to get colder. If you are an animal lover, try looking for a faux fur collar wool coat instead. You can still help keep our animal friends safe and protected while being incredibly stylish.

Let’s not forget about these wonderful suede knee-high boots. Knee-high boots or over- the-knee boots are a fantastic investment. They make your legs look longer and keep them warm if you want to wear a skirt or a dress during the fall. A tall black pair of boots help to slim your calves and, of course, black goes with everything.

One Simple Change: If you’re going to brunch with your friends or with a date, swap the black skinny jeans for a faux suede button-up A-line skirt. A burgundy colour looks fantastic with camel and your black boots will keep your legs warm in your skirt. The buttons give a little added detail while keeping your outfit chic and cool. Enjoy your brunch, and get ready to rack in the compliments.
