Hey there, Fashionista/o’s! The last few weeks of summer are here and that means we’ll soon be switching out our swimsuits for sweaters and beaches for books. Before the weather had a chance to think about becoming colder and the time in the books becoming longer, I decided to take a quick trip to New York City for Labor Day weekend to hit the streets of Manhattan for some shopping and of course, some style watching.

This Fahionista’s ensemble first caught my eye when I saw her gorgeous Michael Kors purse and I had to see what she was up to. Turns out, she was strolling down 5th Avenue while on her way to brunch near Central Park. What other perfect way is there to end Labor Day weekend in NYC than with a Sunday brunch?

Sunday’s are meant for relaxing and enjoying the day and her outfit definitely portrays that. This bruncher was styled in almost head to toe black. From her casual black maxi dress, adorable black floppy hat and gorgeous black gladiator sandals, she was ready for a simple yet stylish brunch. On top of her almost all black ensemble, she decided to add a few trendy gold bracelets which went well with the gold accents on her sandals. To include a pop of color, she added a simple nude Michael Kors bag—perfect for the transition from summer to fall.

One Simple Change: Switch out the hat and take out the braid for some beautiful loose curls to take the look from casual for the day to dressy for date night. Or, add a larger gold necklace piece to this ensemble to balance off the black maxi dress.
