WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

I hope it has been a great start to your semester (or quarter). Along with the back-to-school season, it is also that beautiful time of year again, my lovely Fashionistas and Fashionistos, where we have to ditch the flip-flops and shorts. It’s time to bring out those scarves, long sleeves and boots. ‘Tis the season of hot chocolate, scary movie marathons and chilly temperatures. Yes, it’s that time of year again: fall.

I like to refer to fall as the season where everyone steps their fashion game up and brings out that fun color palette of earthy neutrals with a range of bold color statements and patterns. This brings me to introduce my gorgeous Fashionista this month. She is seen wearing a flared H&M dress, paired with simple black knee-highs, chic black booties, bold earrings and her favorite backpack. With this look, she opted to wear natural-looking makeup along with styling her nails with butter LONDON’s perfect fall color, Scoundrel.

This look is perfect for this fall 2015 season where we see the return of fashion trends like ‘70s-inspired pieces and bold statement earrings. As featured in an article published by Glamour magazine, these trends are only the beginning of what we will see as part of “fall 2015’s Most Wearable Fashion Trends.” On top of this look being very fashionable, it is a great way to express your style . As the brilliant stylist, Rachel Zoe said, “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” Back-to-school style is the best way to express yourself on campus. Use your campus as a runway and strut around your  favorite outfits this semester.

One Simple Change: It’s Friday and you are just looking to relax after a long day of classes, but your friend texts you to go out. Whether it’s a night out on the town, movie date or a small get-together at a friends, this look can be transformed instantly. Ditch the backpack and pair it with a small purse. Add a bit of eyeliner and hike up the ponytail and you are ready to take on the night. If you want to dress it up, add some booties with a heel and let your hair down and you’ll be the talk of the town.
