WHAT TO WEAR: And Then Came Fest Season

At Ohio University we have three seasons; summer, fall, and fest. Fest is something that every student at OU looks forward to each year. It consists of giant block parties on a different street every weekend ending with a big music festival with multiple famous headliners right off campus. Fest lasts all day and weather during fest season can be unbelievably bipolar so you have to “dress for the fest”. In this article, I will help you figure out the perfect fest look for you.

Fest can be rainy and cold or dry and hot so you have to have a variety of outfits for this season. The most popular fest look because of its ability to work with almost any weather or temperature, is the jersey with leggings look. If you don’t wear a jersey or festive Bobcat attire, you will stick out like a sore thumb. This Fashionista is wearing an oversized jersey along with some fun leggings and converse. The leggings add to the look and set her apart from all the other girls wearing basic black leggings. They give her outfit a bit of personality. She is wearing converse because no matter how dry it is that day, somehow it always gets muddy from all the people walking through yards. Whatever shoes you wear will most definitely get dirty, so I find converse to be the easiest since you can just throw them in the washer.

This Fashionista has the right idea with accessories as well. A cute casual choker dresses it up and the fun hair is a must during fest season. With it being so windy in the spring, you want your hair out of your face but to still look cute as you fest it up at the block parties. Lastly, you will want to bring a small purse that you can carry around all day that will not get in your way at all. Being a Bobcat, I cannot explain my love for the fest season. It is one thing all Bobcats love as much as we love our school. I hope you too can experience an OU fest and I hope that I have helped you prepare to take on any fest seasons of your own!
