These Multitasking Products Will Simplify Your Routine

With the busy lives of a college gal or guy, we don’t have time to be fumbling through dozens of bottles and containers to get ready each morning. This is where multitasking products come into play. Clear out your drawers of the hundreds of products you don’t use and make room for these multipurpose products that will make your mornings just a little bit easier.

makeup remover and cleanser

I stand by the double-cleanse method of removing makeup. This means you first remove your makeup and then cleanse the skin. Why not use the same product for both? Instead of pulling out your makeup wipes and cleanser, find a multipurpose face wash. Just make sure to double cleanse so that your face is completely rid of makeup and dirt from the day. Philosophy has a great, gentle cleanser that easily removes makeup while keeping the skin soft.  Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleanser is also a great option.

olive oil

A lot of people might not see olive oil as a skincare product, but it has so many great multitasking benefits for your skin. Not only is it an anti-inflammatory product, but it is also very hydrating on the skin. You can often find it in a number of natural skincare products. One purpose for this product is as a makeup remover. If you have it on hand to remove mascara or a liquid lipstick that just isn’t coming off, rub a little olive oil on the area, and it will come right off. It’s very gentle, so it won’t irritate the skin as you remove the stubborn makeup. It can also be used for face masks. If you have breakouts on the skin, take a little olive oil and massage it all over your face. Not only will it calm down the breakouts, but it also won’t irritate the skin too much. It’s a hidden gem that anyone can find in their pantry.

coconut oil

If you haven’t already heard about all of the benefits of coconut oil, here are a few to get you started. Melt some oil between your hands and apply it to your hair for 5-10 minutes. It’s a great hair mask, especially if your hair is feeling extra brittle or dry. It can also be used as a hydrating makeup remover. It’s extremely gentle on the skin, so it’s great for those with sensitive skin. Last, you can use it as a face moisturizer after washing your face. If you have really dry skin and just cannot find something that keeps your cheeks smooth, massage a little bit on your face after washing for incredible hydration.

hydrating skin cream

A well-known multitasking product is the Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. This product can be used in a number of different ways to hydrate the skin. Some like to use it on their lips because it is a great full-coverage lip balm for cracking lips. Keep it by your bed to use on dry hands, elbows, and knees too!
