STYLE GURU STYLE: You’re Making Me Blush

Never in a million years would I think that I, an avid lover of my overwhelmingly black closet, would wear an all blush toned outfit. Not only wear an all-blush toned outfit, but love it. These rose and blush tones have been seen all over the runway this season and rose quartz was even named one of Pantone’s colors of 2016. Roberto Cavalli’s resort 2016 collection is filled with pieces of the hue. Cavalli holds a special place in my heart, so I knew I would instinctually gravitate towards this color during my spring shopping. Now that spring has sprung and my usual all black ensemble is no longer practical in the Arizona heat, it is time to work this color of the year into my wardrobe.

For a dressier springtime dinner, I was feeling inspired by some Roberto Cavalli vibes. I chose to pair my favorite Aritzia white top with blush trousers from Zara. The cut of the pants is just above the ankle so they are the perfect length to display some cute spring sandals. I opted for my taupe suede Steve Madden Darcie sandals with cute tassel detailing. The piece that pulls this look together is my pink suede duster trench from Windsor. If you are persuaded by beautiful clothing like I am, this is a must-have for spring. I finished the outfit off by layering a pink choker from H&M and some crystal necklaces from Zara. The accessories are very subtle when worn separately, so by layering them, it brings a little edge to the outfit.

Get My Look: 1. Blush pants. 2. Pink duster trench. 3. Layered necklaces.
