STYLE GURU STYLE: White’s Up

Dying your hair is a serious addiction. With colored hair, your color palette in your everyday wear starts to become more monochrome. I just love the look of a simplistic, one-toned outfits. Specifically all-white outfits give off a fresh and clean vibe to welcome spring style in. One of my absolute favorite designers, Alexander Wang, always inspires me to wear more black and white.

As a toast to Alexander Wang, I tried out the all-white style and wore a white crochet dress paired with white platform sandals. I’ve been obsessed with platform shoes lately because I need all the height I can get. It also gives a certain ’90s edge to a look which has been uber trendy these past couple years. Some may stray away from whites for fear of the color washing out your figure, but my trick with this outfit was to choose a material that broke up the clean white slate with some texture. The lace crochet details on my dress added a cutesy feminine touch that was kept subtle thanks to the all-white fabric. I also kept it simple by not adding any accessories which made this outfit super wearable for classes. Sometimes, I find that shiny embellishments can overdo an outfit when I’m trying to be casual. It also keeps an outfit fuss-free, especially now that the weather is getting warmer!

This monochrome style is still very new to me, but it was really fun experimenting with this trend. I really recommend you all adapt this trend to your own style and try it out for yourselves! Monochrome can really provide an aesthetically pleasing balance between simple and sophisticated.

Get My Look: 1. A white dress. 2. White shoes. 3. Some rad hair color.
