STYLE GURU STYLE: Trousers For Days

There’s nothing I love more than a high-fashion look that can be easily transitioned into everyday wear. When I saw the looks from the Céline fall 2016 show, it was like all of my dreams came true. All of the models were donning breezy, neutral colored trousers and oversized jackets; a look I find to be so chic but so laid back. What more could you ask for in an outfit?

I recently purchased a pair of camel colored wide-leg trousers and I am obsessed. They come in handy for interviews and when the attire calls for a dressier look than usual. I prefer these pants in a lighter color than dark (which is something I never say) because they become more of a statement when they standout.

To keep these pants from looking too much like you’re heading to the office, pair them with completely opposite pieces, like a leather jacket, a pair of sneakers and a bodysuit; by moving completely away from what would usually go with these pants, you reach a happy medium. I love pairing them with a white tank top and a leather jacket for a more casual look, or my favorite of matching it with a nude bodysuit and a white vest.

The leather jacket look is perfect for running some errands, quick lunch with friends, or casual Friday and swap the sneakers for flats. The leather jacket could also be switched with a bomber jacket for a similar look. The nude look is perfect for special occasions when you don’t want to be over-the-top, but for how much I love this look I would wear it anywhere.

Get my look: 1. Circle shades. 2. Camel-colored trousers. 3. Leather jacket. 4. Sneakers 5. Cool clutch.
