STYLE GURU STYLE: Transitioning Into Spring

Spring is finally here, which means it’s time to tuck away the winter boots and bring out the sandals. If you’re like me, spring gets you so excited because it means we’re one step closer to summer. I love the warmer weather, and looking through all the new merchandise to get a taste for the new trends coming up in summer. Although all of the new merchandise coming out can be overwhelmingly hard to resist, it’s still possible to achieve a cute, fashionable look without putting a dent in your budget.

An item of clothing I became obsessed with last year was bodysuits. I went from owning none to accumulating at least nine or ten over the past couple months, and I’ve pretty much established that they should be a staple in any Fashionista’s closet. Not only are they extremely cute and comfortable, they’re also practical, versatile, and can pretty much be worn with anything. The lace trimmed bodysuit I wore on this day out is definitely one of my favorites.

I paired my bodysuit with a flannel, another favorite item in my closet that I’ve gotten a lot of wears out of. I highly recommend owning a black flannel because it goes with everything and is perfect for those spring days where you may need a little something light to keep you from getting too chilly.

I finished the look off with my favorite cropped boyfriend jeans and some sandals. Distressed boyfriend jeans are another one of my favorite pieces for spring because they are the perfect medium between skinny jeans and shorts—just right for the spring weather.

I tied all of these pieces I already had in my closet together to create the perfect outfit for an ideal spring day. Here’s to hoping spring is here to stay in Ohio, and I won’t have to tuck away my sandals again.
