J.Crew has been my favorite brand since I was young. Even in high school I remember lusting over the chino shorts, striped dresses and leather sandals. Each piece J.Crew has is always classic, clean and professional. From their structured blazers all the way to their candy-colored chino shorts, J.Crew is a brand that will always be dear to my heart. Their most recent runway show was nothing short of amazing. Stripes, patterns and pops of yellow were the stars of the show, and I wouldn’t hate it if the entire collection showed up in my closet! I love the way the pieces are sophisticated, yet completely wearable as well. J.Crew’s classic looks always inspire me to revisit some of my more neutral clothing, and style them for a day at work.
Today I decided to take some of that inspiration in order to create an outfit that’s classic and comfortable enough for a long day working on campus. Instead of the normal blazer and pencil skirt attire, J.Crew inspired me to do something a little more casual that is just as nice! I paired this soft, striped T-shirt with a fun circle skirt that this J.Crew model is rocking. Also inspired by the look, I decided to add some strappy heels to give this look a more feminine, girly vibe. I kept the jewelry simple with gold and black accessories.
This fall 2015 show inspired me to revisit some classic staples in my closet, and style them in a way that makes them wearable no matter the occasion.
