Hi there, Fashionistas/os! Spring is in full swing, which means it is time to break out those bright colors! I, for one, absolutely love wearing vibrant colors, and springtime is just the time to dust off those cheery hues. This outfit strikes a nice balance with its pop of color and classic neutrals.
Inspired by Stella McCartney’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I followed her lead with the broad stripes and pleats. Using the same color palette, I sampled black, white and yellow to put together this totally rad outfit! In many other runway shows for spring 2016, I noticed that stripes and pleats were a huge trend for this season. I put my own personal touches on this trend by pairing the two together to add varying textures and aesthetics. I even added a pop of color to my lips to play up the boldness in this look!
For this look, I tucked in a totally classic cropped stripe T-shirt by Christian Siriano into this adorable pleated maxi skirt. The bold black and white stripe T-shirt gives the look a sleeker vibe, and the sunny yellow maxi skirt has a softer feel to give a nice contrast to the T-shirt. I added the white vest to layer and provide more interest to the look. Because I still wasn’t satisfied, I added a statement belt for that extra wow factor. The finishing touches were a pair of super cute braided sandals, a long necklace and Urban Decay’s Matte Menace for that extra pop of color!
