STYLE GURU STYLE: Spring Causal

Every Fashionista has their go-to casual outfit that is a staple in their wardrobe. No matter how many new trends you try out, you always go back to your favorite outfit. The look pictured above is my all time favorite outfit. I have worn this look in multiple variations in just about every way that it’s acceptable. This outfit is perfect for class, late nights in the library, or hanging out with friends on the weekend. Despite the fact that it was snowing when these photos were taken, this is the perfect causal spring look.

Essentially, this outfit is simply a hoodie and leggings, but with a closer look, there are unique details that make this outfit stand out on campus. My favorite part of this outfit is the black hoodie. From the front, this hoodie looks very simple, but the embroidery of New York on the back adds a fun detail (not to mention it is super comfy). I love living and going to college in New York, so this hoodie is a great piece to show off my state pride. I am also wearing a baseball hat with an “M” on it, which stands for Marist College. I wear this baseball hat all the time, not only to cover up when I am having a bad hair day, but to also show off my school pride.

Still keeping it causal, I am wearing my favorite pair of detailed leggings. These leggings are perfect for this outfit because they are extremely comfortable and can be worn all day. To complete this look, I wore a pair off slip-on sneakers that are perfect for active days. These shoes could easily be swapped out for running sneakers to transition this look for a workout at the gym.

Wearing a causal outfit does not mean you can’t make it fashionable. Finding stand out pieces can transform your simple hoodie and leggings into a cute and comfy causal outfit that is perfect for the remainder of the spring semester.
