STYLE GURU STYLE: Ready To Feel

When you wear something, you feel confident in it. It’s a great feeling when all eyes are on you. You are ready to take on the day which is how I felt in my outfit. Although it’s just simply jeans and a T-shirt, it shows off a look of comfort and control. Ready to feel and take on the day.

The Céline spring 2016 ready-to-wear creatively directed by Phoebe Philo was something new. It was designed to be different. “I am somebody who is interested in how clothes make us feel,” she explained, “and in how we behave in different places. I thought, If you were traveling for a year, what would you need to take with you?” Fashion and electronics blend together but in this generation, electronics in the world have taken over but fashion was here in the beginning. Electronics are not something that could be altered to fit your personality, imagination or comfort level. Where was I heading and what would I bring? Anywhere, and fashion is what I bring.

In this outfit, I could have been heading multiple different places leaving behind a long question of where it was. Although Céline is a major dress source as they explained in the spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection they incorporated pants as well.

I took inspiration of many celebrities street style wear and twisted it. I wore a more recent band tour shirt. I added a choker to this outfit as well to give it that ’90s rocker vibe. This isn’t any normal choker though, it’s a delicate silver choker. I ended my outfit with a good pair of jeans, which ties it all in, and a green bomber jacket.

Mixing pieces together is how you form great outfits. You could even form something out of nothing and transform it. I’m ready to feel and see how clothes make us feel like Phoebe Philo said. You don’t always have to always look fancy; you could feel fancy in anything.

Get My Look: 1. Band T-shirt. 2. Silver choker. 3. Nude heels.
