STYLE GURU STYLE: Printed Skirt Play

alice + olivia is one of my all-time favorite brands. Their most recent runway show was gorgeous. Complete with ’70s vibes, rock and roll and boho inspirations, these designs were ones that completely stole the show. I loved the dark, rich colors and structured coats. The looks were all timeless, chic and absolutely stunning. Though pops of color can be fun, there is something so classic about a dark, muted color palette.

One of my favorite looks from this show featured a fun, printed skirt. I loved the darker colors of this skirt and the way it made this outfit perfect for colder weather. A good A-line skirt is absolutely a necessity for any Fashionista’s closet. They can be dressed up or down, and work well for any occasion. They also come in a plethora of prints so that they can be easily matched to any outfit!

I put my own spin on a fall appropriate skirt, and decided to transition it into a summer outfit! I adore the colors throughout this skirt, and especially love the aztec-inspired embroidery on the front. To make it more summer appropriate, I paired the skirt with a coral top with lace trim and brown, strappy heels. Skirts are a great way to transition outfits through the season, thanks to the multitude of different ways to style them!

The alice + olivia show inspired me to bring out my skirts that I deemed appropriate for only one season, and try and think of different ways to style them.

Get My Look: 1. A printed skirt. 2. Strappy heels. 3. A bright top.
