STYLE GURU STYLE: New Nude

Okay, how amazing is Maison Margiela’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection?! If you haven’t taken a look yet, it’s artfully incredible. The colors, textures, not to mention hair and makeup featured on the models, is something out of a dream. Yet, there is still a certain edge and element of neutrals that are used throughout the show that I chose to focus on in my look. I love looking effortlessly put together, and although his line is a bit on the wild side (in an incredibly cool, down to earth kind of way), I wanted to focus on how to translate that vision into something wearable, easy and street style-chic.

I love the look of a simple black dress paired with oversized layering pieces. Today, I chose to pair mine with a men’s suede shirt for an edge. The shirt was inspired by one of the floor-length coats found in the show, but since it isn’t fall yet, I didn’t want to get too hot, so I opted for this lightweight jacket instead. I don’t love things to be too girly, but I do love fun accessories like my fringe suede booties to add to the look without it being too minimalistic; I love to add life with simple accessories! An all-black wallet is my go-to choice when I’m running to class throughout the week, and it was also inspired by the elements of all-black found throughout the show. I love adding my own twist to an unforgettable collection.

Get My Look: 1. Nude jacket. 2. Fringe booties. 3. Black dress. 4. Black wallet.
