STYLE GURU STYLE: Moto-Chic

I’ve always been a huge fan of Banana Republic’s simple, campus ready, street style approach. Their fall 2016 ready-to-wear fashion show was filled with inspirational everyday looks that are perfect for transitioning from season to season, no matter the weather. With the perfect mix of cozy sweaters and button front jackets over simple prints and earthy solids, the layered look is on-trend for men and woman alike, and easy to master!

I was really inspired by this look and wanted to incorporate the key features of this trend with my style to make a chic outfit that works even in the spring and summer! One of my favorite parts of this look besides the jacket was the color scheme, so I decided to try and match it as best as I could. I paired my favorite pair of gray stretch jeans with an orange-brown suede motorcycle style buckle jacket for a neutral and earthy color scheme. The buttons and buckles on the jacket add the right amount of texture and detail to the look. I chose to wear a simple black tank top, but you could really do any solid color or simple print basic top and still stay with the Banana Republic style. I chose simple gold accessories such as a long pendant necklace and dangly neutral earrings as accents, but you could definitely do whatever feels more natural to you. I love everything about this look because it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and the weather that day!
