STYLE GURU STYLE: Let Me PerSUEDE You

This winter and spring, the ’70s has come back and hit the runways! Runway shows all around the world have started incorporating suede into their fashion shows due to the versatility of the material and the effortless, earthy look it gives to any outfit. Beaufille, a Canadian fashion label, took the suede trend to a whole new level this season by incorporating it into more modern looks, but the vintage feel of suede will always be present.

For this month’s article, I took inspiration from Beaufille’s ready-to-wear spring collection. I combined the classic look of suede with the boho side by wearing this cognac colored suede fringe dress. I was debating for a little while what I should pair this dress with since it is such a statement piece, but I finally decided to wear these lace-up gladiator sandals because, I mean, why not! I had never worn an outfit like this before but I thought it was the perfect opportunity to do so. Also, I just recently dyed my hair to a copper colored ombré and it went along perfectly with my outfit. It wasn’t planned but it matched!

It was a simple outfit to put together since the main focal points were the dress and sandals, but it was such an ethereal and beautiful look that I loved being able to wear. Beaufille’s collection gave me a lot of inspiration in the sense that the looks presented were relatively simple, but the accessories that went along with the clothing made the look a completely different style. I began to realize that suede is a material that can be paired with any outfit for any occasion, as long as it is paired with the right accessories!

Get My Look: 1. Any suede, fringed dress. 2. Some statement sandals (these are the exact same ones I’m wearing here!). 3. Simple bracelets to match.
