STYLE GURU STYLE: Leather Loving Lady

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of black and white. My favorite days are all-black days. I’ve always been drawn to minimalism and garments with clean, tailored lines. These pants (that I found on sale!) are a new favorite of mine. The white leather front makes a pretty simple outfit look like I actually tried when I got dressed that morning, plus the stretchy back make them super comfortable.

White leather seems to be gaining popularity; I’m starting to see it all over the place. White over the typical black leather is a bit of fresh air; it’s nice to see something a little different than the usual. Fendi has become one of my favorite luxury brands, especially after watching the documentary Inside: Fendi. Their fall 2015 show featured plenty of leather, both black and white. The third look, a white leather shift dress, is my favorite. Carven also has a skirt on NET-A-PORTER that I’ve been drooling over for quite some time now, but sadly I don’t have an extra $900 laying around to buy it.

I paired my white leather pants with a simple black ruffled shirt and a gold necklace. I wanted my pants to be the focus of the outfit; I was careful to not wear anything too complicated so that nothing would distract from them. This shirt is perfect for the transitional weather we’ve been having lately. Three-quarter length sleeves are great this time of year, and they’re super easy to layer! Of course, comfy shoes are a must for walking across campus all day, and oxfords like these are a great statement piece and they’re comfortable enough to wear all day long.

Get My Look: 1. My favorite pants. 2. A black shirt. 3. And a gold necklace.
