STYLE GURU STYLE: Holding Onto Fall Comfortably

Fall gives us all a reason to snuggle into our favorite outfits, and let’s face it: casual and comfortable outfits take first place on our lists of what we would prefer to wear.

The weather is changing, but it isn’t snowing yet, so an easy and comfortable fall outfit that takes little time to put together but makes a big statement is what is going to make waiting for the snow to come bearable.

My outfit is one that I wear often because it is comfortable, stylish and still screams fall. The denim jacket immediately adds a comfortable and stylish layer to keep warm on the colder days. The light denim color allows it to be paired with all sorts of different colors. Here, I am wearing a simple gray long sleeved shirt, which I have paired with a lot of different colored shirts.

Leggings are a girl’s best friend, especially a good pair of black ones. For added detail, my leggings have gray fabric on the bottom to add a two-toned look. Being comfortable is the key, and nothing is more comfortable than switching out a pair of jeans for leggings.

Fall allows for a variety of shoe choices, but it doesn’t always have to be some kind of a bootie. My sneakers are beyond comfortable, but it is a different look than just a typical running shoe and breaks away from the fall boots. The black and white fabric also has a texture to it that adds to the look.

One of my favorite pieces to wear is my sunglasses. They have that great brown color that works great for fall. The weather may be changing, but the sun is always there. Adding a simple pair of sunglasses can add a pop to every look.

Facing the upcoming winter doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. Wearing pieces that are clean and simple, like this jacket, leggings, sunglasses and a pair of shoes can keep picking out an outfit easy as well as stylish.

Style does not have to be thrown away for comfort, and comfort does not have to be thrown away for style, especially when the weather gets colder.
