STYLE GURU STYLE: Flowing Through Spring

Everyone has their own sense of fashion. With so many different trends, finding one that suits you is very easy. For me, I find inspiration in a variety of trends depending on the day and the season. In this look, my inspiration was gathered from the Rick Owens fall 2015 menswear collection.

Free flowing garments have seemed to be very trendy lately from what I have seen on the streets. I decided to embrace this trend in my look with just black. Wearing all-black can be considerable. In this look, choosing just to wear black gave the look a great balance. Instead of making the color be the standpoint, the flowing physicality of each layer is what completed this look. Not only does the flow relate to the current trend, but it also looks great when styled correctly.

With this look, the black top hat was great to pair with the sunglasses to continue the black color trend from head to toe. The gaucho pants were elevated to the perfect length with my platform boots. I find it important to wear a heel or platform with boot cut or flowing pants to keep from looking frumpy. The belt was the one embellishment that I really wanted to stand out and it worked very well with tying the top and bottom half of this look together.

This concept was a very new one for me as wearing very loose garments is not something I very often do. I wanted to open myself up to new ideas and test my limits on my personal style. It is important to be open to new trends and styles. With the world of fashion being so limitless, its easy to be open to new concepts.

Get My Look: 1. A pair of boots.  2. Pants. 3. A hat.
