With the new year comes new chances to reinvent your style and mix it up! This look combines two styles: romantic and urban. I love combining styles because it gives me the chance to mix and match different pieces in my wardrobe, giving new life to old pieces. And since it’s winter, (even in Southern California!), this look features pieces more geared toward the holiday season.
For the soft, romantic part of the outfit, my top is a delicate semi-sheer material, with layers of ruffles to create a feminine vibe. Under the top, I’m wearing a lace bralette to complement the top. Then, I paired these pieces with a pair of statement patterned pants. These pants add an eclectic urban vibe to the outfit. I also added heeled black booties to complement the pants and add a polished feel to the outfit. To finish everything off, I added a silver necklace and a quirky bracelet. The bracelet is special to me because I bought matching ones from a local boutique that spell out ‘sisters’ for both my little sister and I to wear.
This look can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion, another positive of combining styles. Because of the more serious work vibe of the pants, the flowy top softens the look up and ends up complementing the patterned statement pants.
