STYLE GURU STYLE: Bohemian Bring Back

While perusing around on Style.com, I came across the spring ready-to-wear 2015 collection of alice + olivia. I was instantly inspired by their use of loose and flowy material. The fun and bold prints used in this collection especially stood out to me.

In particular, the first look of this collection really caught my attention. I loved the pair of high-waisted fun pants. They give off a bohemian vibe that I’ve been trying to capture in my own personal style.

After taking a look at how alice + olivia used a pair of loose pants in their runway show, I tried to incorporate the look into my own personal style. I’m always in search of a new trend to tryout. I felt that this look, as well as the whole collection, put a very modern twist on a bohemian ‘70s vibe.

I tried to capture the loose and effortless look that alice + olivia portrayed in their designs. Something flowy is definitely a great way to go when you’re sitting in an uncomfortable lecture hall chair. I complemented a pair of wide leg flowy pants with an equally as loose racerback top. Since it’s not always a warm spring in Oneonta, I topped the ensemble off with a cardigan and pair of ballet flats. To stay along the lines of the bohemian feel I added some bangles and a midi ring.

I’m glad that I came across the ready-to-wear alice + olivia collection on Style.com. Their unique bohemian feel gave me the confidence to rock this look around campus.

Get My Look: 1. A set of bangles. 2. A pair of gaucho pants. 3. The perfect racerback top.
