STYLE GURU STYLE: Be In The Know, With Chlo-é

Happy Monday, my fabulous people! It’s about that time of the week again to set sail into “Fashion Land.” I advise you to take the following ten minutes to worry less and style more. It is about that time to set sail into to spring.

This past week, I have drawn inspiration from one of my favorite spring ready-to-wear collections. Chloé’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear line is what I would call French meets American girl. In my opinion, when thinking of what to wear for spring holidays, such as Easter and Mother’s Day, this is the answer. Some frill mixed with some casual pants is all it took for a quick sophisticated look.

Fashionistas, do not fear the hat. Use it. Use it on bad hair days, great hair days, no hair days. It always works, and it will always take your look to the next level. Not only can we throw colored hats back into our wardrobe, but it’s officially wedge season again. Looking for a pair that you can throw around? Spring is your answer. They have wedges from a range of prices, but check out their sale section for affairs where you refuse to sport your Steve Madden’s. Date nights, frat parties or vacation are common spring supporters. Then again, Steve Madden does have some impressive shoes this spring season, so do check them out in the case of a wedding or formal.

As for my entire look, it is difficult to choose what coats will keep the chill out while also looking season-appropriate. The black peacoat I am sporting above will certainly not be appropriate in the following weeks, but it pulled my look together in this instance. Most often, Fashionistas choose to throw on a dress and call it a day. I am just as guilty for doing such things from time to time, but it is time to break that spell. There is so much more to fashion than what is easy to wear. It is a much more complex concept. Fashion speaks of who we are and who we want to be and it is impossible to overdress to impress.

Gaby Aghion, founder of Chloé in 1952, passed away prior to the creation of this line; therefore, it was created in dedication to her. It is understood she would have approved. I chose this line to do my article on in dedication to you all as well. The winter is over, and your old sense of style has been put to rest. Listen here for further guidance.
