STYLE GURU BIO: Shelby Sperlich

Hi, friends! It’s me again, Shelby Sperlich! I’m going to be writing for my second semester here at CollegeFashionista, and I’m super excited! This semester will be my spring semester of my junior year at Iowa State University. I can’t believe how fast it is going! It’s crazy to think that I am over halfway done with pursuing a degree in apparel merchandise, as well as marketing. I have determined that I love doing public relations, social media and all things that involve fashion, which is why I love CollegeFashionista!

To share a little bit about me: I am frequently seen with my friends in laid-back outfits, most likely in some sort of ripped jeans and a flowy top, at Es Tas, our favorite place to eat. I also have an obsession with coffee, Netflix (specifically shows by Shonda Rhimes) and naps, like most college students. Going on new adventures are also my favorite.

This outfit is very typical for me. My black ripped MOTO jeans are a staple for me from Topshop. I seem to find myself wearing at least one article of black in the winter. This striped turtleneck is perfect layering piece for winter; it is so comfy. You could put on a cardigan, fur vest or leather jacket to add warmth. Then, to tie everything together, I added my staple jewelry. You can always see me in my watch, rings and Kendra Scott necklace. This statement gold Egyptian-inspired is trendy, but will match with practically everything.

I look forward to what the semester brings. Stay tuned for more articles from me!
