Hi there! My name is Mitchell and currently I am a rising junior at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. I’m studying integrated marketing communications and when I’m not busy with school, clubs, homework and friends, I’m also an amateur writer; now, I’m also a Style Guru! Coffee is pretty much the way to my heart, and I believe that with some hairspray, perfume and the right outfit, there’s no such thing as a bad day. I would probably describe my style as poor-boy prep, meaning I am a college student and I do have a pretty tight budget (I know you all know the struggle), but I love to dress well; luckily, this means I know how to make a little go a long way.
Growing up in Cleveland, I wasn’t exactly living in the center of the fashion world, but like any good Fashionista/o knows, fashion is everywhere. The Merriam Webster dictionary defines fashion as “a popular way of dressing during a particular time or among a particular group of people.” Even from a young age, I can remember looking at people and thinking about what they were wearing and then comparing it to how other people dressed—Joan rivers was always a help when I was learning to judge fashion. Looking back, I realize that even here in Cleveland there was not only fashion, there was style! I like to credit my family with my love of fashion because each and every one of them has their own sense of style and their own way of dressing. They are really the ones who inspired my love of fashion. Love you all!
