Hey there everyone! My name is Layla Amiri and I was born and raised in beautiful California. I’m currently a junior at the University of California, Berkeley where I study English and I am beyond excited to have this opportunity to combine my passions for writing and fashion. Berkeley is an incredibly unique city full of people who wear their personalities on their sleeves, and I can’t wait to share their individual styles with you all.
My style tends to veer on the girly-girl side with details that add a little edge. I always gravitate towards clothing that involves lace, floral patterns, or denim. If I can get those elements in the form of a dress? I’m sold. That being said, I love adding something like a leather jacket or combat boots to add some extra flair. Throw in some delicate gold jewelry and I’m ready to go.
For this article I decided to wear an outfit you can catch me in on a daily basis. I’m wearing a floral print tank top layered over a white lace bralette that doubles as a little extra coverage along with a fun additional texture. I also threw on an army green jacket which a cinch waist that creates a flattering silhouette.
For the bottom half I chose a pair of light blue distressed jeans and a pair of gray leather booties. I love these boots because they always spice up a casual outfit. To top it off I put on a simple gold heart necklace and that is all the accessories I decided to add!
