Wow! Can you believe I’m back for my third semester with CollegeFashionista? I can’t. Where’s the time gone? How much closer am I to graduating? These are questions I have no answers for. BUT. For the spring semester I will be back to answer all those questions you might have regarding college fashion and what coffee shop at Florida State makes the best flat white (FYI it’s not Starbucks. But how shocked are you really?).

If you’re new to following me, let me get you up to speed. My name is Lauren and I’m a senior at Florida State University. I have very minimal taste which is often reflected in my wardrobe i.e. an extreme lack of color. As Wednesday Addams said, “I’ll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color.” I like pugs, coffee and ramen and my favorite album of all time is Tiger Army’s “Music From Regions Beyond.” And because I know you all were wondering, the best Christmas gift I received this year was a pair of Jeffrey Campbell + Free People boots from by boyfriend; I’ve never owned anything this sparkly in my life. Get ready to see me pair them with every outfit this year (not even joking.)

To get my look, think minimal in color and silhouette. For the base layer, I chose a black crop top and a midi skirt. I accented these pieces with a long white vest and ankle strap heels. Keep your jewelry simple with a silver necklace and bring in a pop of color to your look with a purple lip stain.
