Hello Fashionistas! My name is Kate Jorgenson and I am a freshman at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I am majoring in retail merchandising and minoring in management. My short journey as a college student so far has been nothing short of amazing, and I could not be more confident in the major I have chosen.
When I heard about CollegeFashionista I couldn’t apply quick enough. I consider myself a strong writer, and anyone who knows me can tell you I’m usually talking about someone’s outfit. Becoming a Style Guru just seemed like the perfect fit for me. I am even more excited now to see that there are thousands of others participating in this internship and I cannot wait for the relationships and friendships I gain over the next semester.
I would describe my personal style as mature but trendy. I love wearing heels, and I usually don’t step out the door without subconsciously wearing something black. Recently, I have started to play with patterns, so here I chose a black plaid cape scarf. I love this look because It feels like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket all day. Under my scarf I chose a black turtleneck and a silver statement necklace. Turtlenecks have been the perfect go-to this winter when walking to class is frigidly cold. To add color to my look I chose a pair of plum jeggings, and finished my look with black booties. Overall, this outfit wears comfortably but makes me feel confident, and that is what I strive for with every look.
