Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Gabriella Connor and I am a student at Manhattan College, majoring in Communications while concentrating in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing.
Spending the last year in New York City has really opened my eyes to fashion. I’ve always been conscientious of my outfit choices, a pop of color here and a touch of pattern there, but never like this before. The city streets act as runways with hundreds of models strutting down every corner. It is impossible to not be inspired! The city has allowed my personal style to expand and grow. I’ve gained the confidence to wear a dramatic floppy hat or prance down the street in an outrageous, yet fabulous, pair of heels. Now, I always try to incorporate something daring into my daily style.
My personal style tends to be on the unpredictable side. I love to use clothes as an expression of my personality; one day a sweet sundress, the next a tough leather skirt. That’s the beauty of clothes. A simple shirt, or even a jacket, can transform your look in the matter of seconds! Who wants to wear the same thing everyday? Certainly not me! Repetition becomes boring; spontaneity makes fashion exciting!
One thing that remains a constant in my daily style is color. Whether it is a pair of bold red heels or a fuchsia purse, color is a must! For example, check out this clutch. A dab of color also makes you stand out. A luminous accessory will transform any outfit and make you feel bold. No matter the season, a pop of color will brighten any day.
