STYLE GURU BIO: Erin Spare

Hello! My name is Erin and I am a returning CollegeFashionista Style Guru for the fall 2016 semester. Growing up, fashion has always been something that I valued very highly.  What you wear says so much about who you are as a person so why wouldn’t you want to look your best?

I am a firm believer in the saying “better late than poorly dressed” despite the fact that most of my professors do not feel the same. I am fortunate enough to attend a university that prides itself in its diversity and as a result am exposed to a wide variety of different fashion tastes. When walking to class it is normal for me to walk by students wearing fur vests, band T-shirts, Lilly Pulitzer dresses, camouflage jackets, purple hair, tutus- pretty much anything you can think of I can almost guarantee you that I’ve seen it worn around campus! Because of this, my personal style is always changing. I am always wearing something that doesn’t belong to me; seeing as I frequently raid my friends’ closets to find ways to incorporate their pieces in with my own. Fashion is all about taking risks, trying new things, and getting inspired by others. With that said, I am so excited to share my fashion tips with all of you this semester! I had so much fun being a Style Guru this past summer and am happy I am able to do it again this semester.

Here, I am wearing my favorite American Apparel halter body suit, which I paired with a distressed denim jean, boyfriend cardigan and brown booties to extend its use through the fall season.
