Hello Fashionistas/os! I’m Emma Stoneham, a student at the University of Oklahoma. I am studying online journalism and this is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista.
I’ve always been interested in fashion magazines, celebrities, playing dress up, trying out different trends and figuring out my own style. Throughout the years fashion has become more and more a part of my life. Whether it was shopping with my mom, reading my favorite magazines like Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Vogue, following celebrities’ fashion, watching fashion shows or keeping up with all the latest trends.
In college I have gained some experience within the fashion world by writing about fashion for my school’s Greek newspaper, interning at Texas Monthly magazine, starting my own blog and being a part of the Ed2010 Magazine Interest Group at my school where we went to New York City and talked to big magazine editors.
My style over the years has been shaped by my personality, celebrities I admire, trends and movies I love. Audrey Hepburn has been my fashion icon since I can remember, and I have modeled a lot of my style after her; constantly wearing black, keeping things classic, neat and poised. My style is classic with the addition of a current trend. I love collecting pictures from magazines, runway shows and celebrities’ clothes and accessories from events, and putting these different pictures together to make a final product that reflects my own style.
