Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Elle Petyak and this will be my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am a freshman at Clemson University in the upstate of South Carolina. I am so excited to be an intern for this semester because I can finally focus on fashion geared toward colder weather, my favorite!

When I’m not writing for CollegeFashionista, you can find me playing lacrosse or studying (a lot of studying!). My perspective is unique, seeing as I am a biological sciences and a psychology double major. Through my internship, I hope to help all of my fellow scientists become inspired while bouncing between labs, lectures, and the library. Who says you can’t still be stylish under a lab coat and goggles? Since Clemson is in the mountains, hiking is one of my favorite hobbies. Take it from me, you can still be stylish in a cute pair of leggings, a strappy tank, and some bold sneakers.

My personal style is definitely focused on darker colors. Black, of course, is my go-to for anything from sweaters to boots, but I do branch out into colors like marsala and forest green. This is another reason why I love the spring semester. My style stays pretty casual most of the time since I am usually just going to class during my day. When I do get the chance to dress it up a little I always remember one can never go wrong with a little black dress and some red lipstick. As far as accessories go, I keep it fairly minimal, sticking to little gold accents with bracelets and necklaces. I think gold can make just about any outfit a little bit classier.

Style is a constant evolution and I believe it never really stops changing. This is one of the reasons why I am pumped to help each and every one of my readers form their unique looks. I hope to keep all of you Fashionistas/os inspired and stylish on campus this spring.
