Aloha! (Hello!) My name is Diandrea Sagisi-Buxton. I am an international business and marketing student at Hawaii Pacific University. I love all things from Japanese anime and K-Pop idols, to swimming in the Pacific Ocean and hiking up the Ko’olau Mountain Range.
Growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii has definitely gave me a taste of all the cultures around the world. Hawaii is definitely a melting pot of diversity. With the ocean and mountains right in my backdoor, it definitely has great influence on my style. My style is casual, consisting of the beautiful earthy tones of nature along with a local twist of the island. With the heat of island life, my style is simple to accommodate the weather, and an addition of accessories to dress up any outfit.
Although I generally prefer the casual look, business majors do love to take risks and on occasion follow the trends. I believe that sometimes when a piece calls for you, respond back and just wear it. Don’t let other forces dictate what you wear because when you look that good, who cares.
My taste for style grew from watching countless episodes of America’s Next Top Model and E! News. I began to see the power that having your own personal style could give you. It only intensified in my teen years as I started my obsession with watching YouTube and discovering all types of stores and styles that has shaped me into the female I am today. I am always ready to discover new styles from all around the world. I want to try new things with my look. I can’t wait to see what the world of style has in store for me.
