Hello there Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I hope all of you are having a day full of glamour and style. My name is Daniela Polo and I am currently a freshmen at Rutgers State University. My intended major is Biochemistry and a minor in Journalism with an emphasis in Fashion Journalism. With more than 48,000 undergraduate students, Rutgers State University is one of the most culturally diverse universities in all of the east coast. Since my school is filled with people from all over the United States and world, I am lucky enough to find many unique senses of style around campus. From the bright colors of the West Coast to the sleek black style of the East coast and some bold prints from all over the world, every type of fashion on the style spectrum can be shown here.
While I attend school in suburban New Jersey, I was born in the big city and bright lights of New York where I witnessed firsthand the diversity of fashion in a big city. While I moved to the suburbs as a young girl, my father still lives there, which means the city still plays a large role in my life.
As for fashion, it’s been present since before I knew that gold and silver should never clash. With my father being a tailor in the city, clothing had a strong presence in my life. My personal style, I’ve been told, can range anywhere from Kylie Jenners edgy style to Blair Waldorf’s sleek, classy look.
