STYLE GURU BIO: Christine Orzechowski

Hi there Fashionista/os! My name is Christine Orzechowski and I am excited to announce that this is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I am a Journalism major at the University of Missouri-Columbia and am planning on minoring in Graphic Design. I love all things creative and, of course, fashion! I would consider myself a trendsetter and enjoy giving people advice on what to wear. Fashion helps me define who I am and creates a positive impact on my life.

You can usually find me in some high-waisted shorts or a funky dress! My style can be defined as, but is not limited to, indie, grunge and vintage. Incorporating different patterns and cuts into my outfits is an important part of how I dress and define my style. I take inspiration from my friends, fellow colleagues and social media. I find most of my clothing through thrift shops and second hand stores, like the dress I am wearing in my photos above! A ton of my fashion inspiration comes from celebrities such as Gillian Zinser and Zella Day.

CollegeFashionista is such a great resource for college students who want everyday inspiration on what to wear! Seeing other colleges’ style and fashion advice is a great way to get an insight on how to develop your own style. I am very excited to share my advice and even expand my style. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with CollegeFashionista this semester and explore the different styles of my campus!
