STYLE GURU BIO: Carly Jablonski

January 6th, 2017 at 2:00am

Hey guys! I am Carly Jablonski from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, which is also my hometown. I am currently a sophomore studying fashion merchandising and business. Excited was a understatement when I found out I was a College Fashionista Style Guru for the semester of 2017! I am thrilled to start working with everyone as well as having the opportunity to get to know new people that have a similar passion for fashion as I do.

I love being surrounded by fashion in my everyday life. Most of my inspiration comes from random people walking down the street and me thinking in my head, “Wow their outfit is adorable.” To me, clothes are not just pieces of fabric that hang off your body. There is a much deeper meaning behind the idea of clothes as well as fashion. Fashion is a way for people to express themselves using fabrics, colors, styles, etc. I believe fashion brings people together. I admire people who are comfortable in their own skin and can work an outfit. Personally, I feel like the perfect outfit can make someone feel so confident and special about themselves. It is amazing how clothes can make you feel that way. I know I feel excited and beyond confident when I wear a cute outfit to an occasion. My motto is dress to impress!

My style is an urban, vintage, retro feel most of the time. Although, I have many different styles other than the three I mentioned. Putting together outfits is one of my favorite things to do as well as giving style advice. So if you ever need advice about a look, just ask me!

For the look in the photos above, I am wearing a flannel button down with distressed jeans. I purchased the black suede booties at DSW. My jacket is a hunter green parka. And last but not least, my sunglasses are all black Ray-Bans.

I hope you all get inspiration from this look and make it your own! To see more looks feel free to follow me on my social media accounts! I can’t wait to work with you all and I am ready for a rad semester!
